Owner/ Director

Hi, I am Nikki, The main owner and Director for Wiggles & Giggles. I have been a Longmont childcare provider for 2 decades. In October of 2022 I took over and moved into my center. My vision is to bring a natural I love my job- kids never cease to amaze me, and they always keep me challenged. I am a mom, its what I do best. I I have a unique outlook of what a childcare provider should be...I dont believe that the care should start and stops from 8-5. I believe that when a family comes through the door of W & G they become part of this family, the Wigglin and Gigglin crazy family where we provide support and a where little ones can learn-how to well...learn. This support doesn't end when they leave me to go to school either, I still have school-agers and teenagers that come in knowing that they will be welcomed here with open arms. Some of them are my best references! I am a optimist, a true believer of good in people. I love life, I love my family, and I find joy in something that I do everyday! Above my licensing I am a Certified Health Liaison through Boulder County and I finish my EQIT (Expanding Quality in Infant Toddler Care) Course in Dec 2011. I am working towards a Bachelors degree in ECE and I am Center Director Qualified.

The Girls

Jayde and Shea are 20 and 15 respectively. Jayden has moved to Broomfield and has started her career in Leasing. I am incredibly proud of her as she has grown into a beautiful, compassionate, intelligent young woman who has and will take the world by storm. Shea is a sophomore in highschool and is creative, charismatic, and witty. She still helps everyday with the kiddos loves the babies and a true reminder of how time flies. She was the motivating factor 15 years ago to create our wonderful, educational and loving childcare. Both girls grew up in this childcare. They have made lasting friendships and continue to create new ones through this experience.
They are my gifts from god, beautiful and talented, with strong sense of giving and amazing personalities!

Riley, Farley and Saki These are the family pets, to be fair they are more like kids to us then dogs. They are Boston Terriers- All personality.
Saki, the furthest right is known for her ball. She loves the kids and the kids love her because she always has her ball and willing to play and teach the kids how to play with her. It is truely amazing to watch everyday how she teaches even the littlest of kids how to throw her ball different ways for her to go get! We adopted sweet saki from the longmont humane society about 6 month's before starting the daycare and she really has taught not only the kids but me so much.
Farley is the top middle, He was my first BT, and I have had him since he was 8 weeks old and I was pregnant with Shealei. I love this dog. He is my baby and just the most fun dog I have ever had. He will literally play with anything from xmas wrapping paper tubes, water bottles, to soccer balls and volleyballs! He is very laid back too, he is not as neurotic and active as the other two and is emotionally connected to us all. Sounds Crazy, I know! He likes to sit with the kids and if one is having a particularly hard morning or is sad for what ever reason he will just lay with them, sit and be petted (he loves that) or is just their buddy.
Riley, is the youngest and at just over a year she is still a knot head. She is fast and full of energy! She has an assortment of squeeky toys that are everywhere. She will scale a small bookcase to retrieve them if you try to put them away. She only wants lovins on her terms and will not sit still for more then a few seconds at a time. She is a talker too, she will yip and bark to ask for things and the only time she slows down enough for attention is when she wants something from you. I think she thinks she is one of the kids too! She naps in Jaydes bed (at nap time), and asks for treats when its snack time and goes outside at playtime. She is adorable- and full of energy!
All three of them are amazing with the kids and help me everyday. They are up to date on all their shots, registered with the city and are included in my licensing.
Here is a little basic information about dogs and children and the Boston Terrier specifically.
Experience with dogs can create positive feelings and bring self confidence to a child. It teaches compassion and empathy and it can can aid in the development of trusting relationships with others. A good relationship with a pet can also help in developing non-verbal communication. Children run less risk of being sensitive to allergens if there is a dog in the house in the early years of their lives, scientists have found.
Bostons are known for being excellent family pets and I have added a small excerpt about the Boston Terrier from a canine information website to give a little information on the breed of dog that your child is or may be around.
The Boston Terrier is gentle, alert, very intelligent, well-mannered and enthusiastic. They are very sensitive to the tone of one's voice. Boston's like to learn and therefore are not difficult to train. Their intelligence ensures they pick things up quickly. Boston's need a gentle, but firm, confident, owner who knows how to display authority over the dog. Some owners have reported that their dogs are good watchdogs barking only when necessary, while other owners have reported their female Boston Terriers do not bark at the door at all. Most reliable with children, especially good with elderly people and very friendly with strangers. The Boston Terrier is playful, very affectionate and likes to be part of the family. Very popular in the United States, due above all to its excellent character. They generally get along well with non-canine pets.
