Where the Wild, Wonderful, and Wonderfully Challenging Belong

Picture
Where the Wild, Wonderful, and Wonderfully Challenging Belong At Wiggles and Giggles Childcare, we see beyond “the norm.” We see your child. Not every child fits neatly into a quiet circle time. Some scale the playground wall like they were born for the climbing gym. Some pepper you with a thousand “why’s” before breakfast. Others can’t seem to sit for more than thirty seconds—but will surprise you with bursts of brilliance when their curiosity is piqued. And then there are the ones who will absolutely tell you exactly what they think. Here’s the truth: We love them. We love their energy, their grit, their determination, their honesty, and yes—even the moments when they challenge the rules. At Wiggles and Giggles, we’re not here to “tame” them. We’re here to guide them, support them, and celebrate the free spirit that makes them them. We Know Your Child Isn’t “Too Much”—They’re Exactly Enough Children who don’t fit the mold are often labeled as “difficult” or “disruptive.” But here, we understand that many of these traits—persistence, independence, high energy, curiosity—are exactly what will help them thrive in life. Our teachers are trained to see the strength behind the struggle. That means: - When a child can’t stop moving, we look for ways to make movement part of learning. - When a child talks back, we help them channel their strong voice into self-advocacy and respectful communication. - When a child loses focus, we break learning into engaging, hands-on bursts that keep their mind active. This isn’t about forcing your child into a “good behavior” box—it’s about giving them the tools to grow without dimming their spark. A Space That Works With Parents, Not Against Them Parenting a spirited child comes with its own set of challenges. You’ve probably heard it all: “They just need more discipline,” or “They’ll grow out of it.” At Wiggles and Giggles, you’ll never be met with judgment—only partnership. We believe that supporting your child means supporting you too: - Regular communication so you know what’s working at school and how to build on it at home. - Consistent strategies between home and childcare so your child experiences stability. - Celebrating progress—even if it’s a small step—because we know growth is a process. We’re here to be on your team, not to tell you you’re doing it wrong. Learning for the Movers, Makers, and Question-Askers Children who learn differently thrive when they have space to explore, move, and create. That’s why we: - Incorporate STEM-based activities that let kids tinker, build, and experiment. - Use multi-sensory learning—touch, movement, sound, and visuals—so all children have a way to connect with new concepts. - Build in choice and independence so they can direct some of their own learning within a safe, structured environment. And yes—sometimes that means science experiments get messy, art projects go big, and outdoor play becomes an adventure zone. We’re okay with that.  Behavior Is Communication We believe that every behavior—yes, even the challenging ones—is telling us something. Whether it’s a child who shouts when frustrated, melts down during transitions, or constantly tests boundaries, our job is to figure out why. Instead of punishing the behavior, we: - Teach emotional regulation and coping skills. - Provide opportunities for kids to “reset” in calm, safe spaces. - Help them name their feelings and problem-solve in real time. Because when a child feels heard and supported, they can build the skills they need to succeed—without losing their spirit. A Place Where They Belong If you’ve been searching for a childcare or preschool that: - Welcomes the climbers, the talkers, the questioners, and the dreamers. - Works alongside parents to meet challenges with understanding and creativity. - Sees your child’s potential beyond their behavior. …you’ve found it. At Wiggles and Giggles, we believe that the children who challenge us the most often change the world the most. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Ready to find out if Wiggles and Giggles is the right fit for your wild, wonderful child? Come see our classrooms in action, meet our teachers, and experience how a place built on connection and respect can help your child grow—without dimming their light. Giving Over Gaining in Childcare

□ A Purpose-Driven Perspective: Giving Over Gaining in Childcare

In an era obsessed with success metrics and personal gain, an inspirational video with just a few powerful words--“Life isn’t about what we can gain from others; it’s about what we can give”—delivered a message that cuts through the noise and reframes what it means to live with intention, especially in the field of childcare.

□ Childcare as a Calling

Working with children isn’t just a job. It’s a sacred responsibility—one that shapes the emotional and cognitive foundation of future generations. It reminds us that fulfillment doesn’t come from promotions or praise; it comes from the everyday moments where caregivers show up with love, patience, and resilience.

When we shift the focus from “what do I get?” to “what can I give?”, our work becomes an extension of who we are—not just something we do.

□ The Ripple Effect of Giving

Giving isn’t only about grand gestures. Sometimes it’s a calming hand on a shoulder, a quiet moment spent listening, or a thoughtful word of encouragement. These small offerings have a ripple effect, instilling confidence, security, and joy into young hearts that carry those feelings for years.

By nurturing others, we nurture ourselves. The sense of purpose that grows from giving creates a reservoir of emotional strength—one that fuels us even during the toughest days.

□ My Personal Story

When I first heard about this job, I was in a difficult place in life—searching for anything better than what I was going through. I didn’t expect much from working at a daycare. I figured it would be just another job, only with kiddos.

At the time, the center had just opened, and we were light on children—mainly young toddlers. I started out in that room and watched those kids grow and transition to the next classroom as they met the curriculum milestones. I moved with them, growing alongside them.

As we expanded and brought in more kids and teachers, each adult formed special connections with different kiddos. I found myself jumping between rooms, helping wherever I could. It wasn’t always easy. Some days felt nonstop, overwhelming, and exhausting. I’d question why I was doing it or slip into the mindset of “just get the paycheck and go home.”

But then—I’d walk into a room and hear my name shouted with joy by little voices and see smiles that made the stress melt away. Parents would tell me how their children talk about me at home or how I’m the only one who can comfort their child when they’re sad. It’s in those moments I remember why I love what I do.

I show up every day for the kids. Because I remember being that child—having one teacher who truly saw me, who I could genuinely care about. I want to be that person for these children. That’s why I give, even when it's hard. Because the love I give comes back tenfold.

“Children may not remember what you said, but they’ll always remember how you made them feel.”

□ Conclusion: The True Wealth of a Giving Heart

That message is more than inspiration—it’s a call to live generously. Giving isn’t a loss; it’s the seed of legacy. The lives we uplift, the hearts we heal, and the hope we offer—that’s the wealth we carry into tomorrow.

In a world striving for more, the greatest gift we can offer is showing up with love. Not because we’ll gain something in return, but because giving is what makes us truly whole.
